Ariana Dreamstar (Ariana Aislinn) Played by Amy Ariana was once an ordinary high school girl, until the night when, while sleeping soundly, she and her two best friends, Jessie and Robert, were whisked off to save the Dreamworld. In the end, Ariana volunteered to become the Dreamworld's new Guardian and to take on the responsibilities of protecting and caring for that world. So far she only knows a little of how to control and use her magic, but she does the best she can to accomplish the heavy task before her. Ariana is bright, imaginative, friendly, determined, romantic, and sweetly innocent, a young woman whose greatest power is her ability to love. She has a soft smile and a sweet voice, and she is slender and of medium height. Her long, ash-blond hair falls gently down her back, and she has bright, blue-green eyes. Ariana's last name, Dreamstar, was given to her when she became the Guardian. (Back on Earth, her name was Ariana Aislinn, which is pronounced Ah-ri-ah-na Ahsh-lahn.) Going by the timeline we use in Rivendell, Ariana has been the Dreamworld's Guardian for about five years now. She's pretty humble about it, despite being in charge of an entire world; really, she's in no danger of becoming too impressed with herself and her abilities. She is friendly and kind to others, and always willing to make new friends. Sometimes this can actually be a problem, since not all the people one meets in Rivendell are friendly... But overall Ariana is well-loved for being sweet and innocent. Ariana's main difficulty is, of course, that the Lord of Nightmares is trying to destroy her and take over her world, mainly by breaking her spirit. But she also tends to stretch herself too thin, helping her many friends in any way she can. People know they can always come to her for help, and so Ariana tends to take many more problems on her shoulders in addition to her own. So far she has proved strong enough to handle the task, however. But she does have her weaknesses, which may yet lead her to ruin... Ariana's greatest strength is her immense capacity to love, and it is never stronger than when it applies to Calandryll De'serka. Their romance is a long story, but it is nothing less than true love. In fact, if the Lord of Nightmares truly can break Ariana's spirit, then it will most likely involve hurting Calan in some way...because her love for Calan is Ariana's greatest weakness, and yet also her most powerful and greatest strength.
